Episode 012
Giving Yourself Permission with Alice Morrison
In this episode of Elevate, host Sue Reeve is joined by Alice Morrison: adventurer, BBC presenter, best-selling author and Fellow of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society, described as "Indiana Jones for women". Alice built a successful career as a BBC editor and then a media CEO, before walking away in midlife, moving to Morocco, and becoming a full-time adventurer. In December 2024 she became the first person on record to walk the entire length of Saudi Arabia from north to south: 2,195 kilometres in 112 days, every step on foot.
This is a must-listen for anyone sitting on a dream they keep putting off. Alice is funny, honest and wise about what it actually takes to back yourself at a stage of life when most people play it safe, and why the hardest part is simply starting.
