Project of the month:.. an ensuite upgrade
28th Jul 17, 3:22 pm
Backstory: our client has a characterful London apartment which she loves but because she travels constantly with work, decided to rent it out. She was keen to attract a high calibre tenant and we looked at areas where we could upgrade the flat to appeal to a discerning professional, without over-spending.
Problem: the Master Ensuite was overdue for an upgrade, and had suffered with leak damage in the past so this was an obvious place to start. A mid-range high street bathroom brand quoted 50% over the figure our client was willing to spend. Plus the water pressure wasn’t great.
What CiD did: in consultation with the client throughout the process, we Project Managed every detail from drawing up CAD designs and layout options; sourcing and shopping around for well priced products and sale prices; engaging and managing contractors, snagging throughout the installation process and signing off at each stage. We also oversaw the installation of a new boiler and improved water pressure system. Fixer and problem-solver through out, we even took care of all the paperwork and certification afterwards.
Outcome: a light, clean and uncluttered luxury bathroom that the client is delighted with. (She even said she was tempted to move back in!) The thoughtful positioning of each element makes the bathroom feel spacious and a pleasure to use.
The formula for this project’s success: Consider it Done’s vision + experience, together with a good understanding of the client’s tastes and aspirations for the flat, and of the demands on her time, to make sure she was kept informed throughout the project and able to make the key decisions, without being inundated with details.
News: as soon as the apartment was marketed for rental, the attraction was instant and a number of offers are now in the pipeline. CiD is managing the rental process and will be the ongoing Property Managers.
