Brilliantly useful website: SeatPlan

19th Jul 16, 4:15 pm

As you hesitate over the ‘purchase’ button for your theatre tickets, you wonder: will the view of the stage be completely unrestricted? Is there legroom there? How are you meant to know how good the seats will actually be?

Here’s how: with SeatPlan.

Find out which the best seats are in London’s theatres based on real, honest theatre-goer reviews. They’re not always the most expensive seats! Having sat in the seats themselves, reviewers have rated comfort and leg room and view for specific seat numbers based on their own experiences.

Some have even uploaded photos of the view from their seat so that you can see for yourself before committing to tickets.

To join in with the theatre-patronising-community you’re also invited to review your seats. Earn a £10 theatre ticket voucher when you add a photo review.

CiD’s verdict: genius – it takes a few extra moments when you’re booking – but the site navigation is easy and it could save a really long wait on the phone to the Box Office to ask questions.
